Following significant erosion of Cottonwood Creek, Colorado Springs received a FEMA grant to restore the creek. Siete, Inc. was hired as the prime contractor for the construction of concrete drop structures to slow with flow of water through the creek, stabilizing the floor of the channel to prevent further and future erosion. The project also included sheet piling and embankment.
